The Opera of the Future: A proposal to house the cultural programming of the Paris 2024 Olympics

Pan-âme is a project to amplify the humble forms of human expression that bring the greater Paris area to life. Through a robust local partnership process and a simple tool kit we seek to co-develop a traveling theater whose component parts are born at various sites and come together for an Olympic performance. Using a standard container and trailer system repurposed into 4 typologies and a selection of prefabricated components and furnishings, each community can identify and help develop its own intervention later bringing their piece to make the whole.The 25 modules making up 12 distinct community projects come together into dynamic theatrical arrangements housing a myriad of performance types and ranging in size and intimacy.
