The Bambox is the first sustainable integrated lunchbox.
Bambox leverages governmental efforts to promote the growth of the most renewable resource—bamboo — among produce farmers in Piura, Peru in order to foster economic stability in the area and empower a disenfranchised population of artisan women. The women’s skill and expertise will help deliver a high-quality, sustainable lunchbox to users of campus dining programs. The Bambox not only promotes healthy portioning and reduces environmental waste, but also serves as a point of connection to the community that produces it.
